Supporting OSCARS Families with Clear, Trusted Legal Advice

We are proud to have been selected by OSCAR's, to provide specialist Will writing and private client services to its members and visitors.

At Adrian J Knight, we understand that planning for the future — particularly where vulnerable or disabled loved ones are involved — requires clarity, sensitivity and practical expertise. Our aim is simple: to give you peace of mind, with transparent pricing and a seamless, supportive process from start to finish.

Protecting a Vulnerable or Disabled Loved One

Standard Wills are not always suitable where a beneficiary is disabled or vulnerable. In many cases, careful planning through the use of a Disabled or Vulnerable Person’s Trust is essential.

These trusts can:

Protect eligibility for means-tested benefits

Safeguard inheritance from financial abuse or mismanagement

Ensure funds are managed responsibly

Provide long-term financial security

We will guide you through the options and ensure your Will reflects your wishes and your family’s specific circumstances.

When Your Child Turns 18 – Legal Authority to Continue Supporting Them

When a child who is unable to make their own decisions turns 18, parents no longer automatically have the legal authority to manage financial or welfare matters on their behalf.

In these circumstances, an application can be made to the Court of Protection to appoint you as their Deputy.

This provides the legal authority to manage finances, benefits and care decisions in your child’s best interests, offering clarity and reassurance during the transition into adulthood.

Applications are case-specific, and we are able to advise and assist you throughout this process where required.

A Simple, Seamless Client Journey

We understand that many OSCAR's families already have enough to manage. That’s why we make the process straightforward and flexible.
